Welcome to Tip Toes dance Academy.

Tip Toes Dance Academy has been set up by myself Kimberley Knowles in April 2013. I offer energetic, imaginative, inspiring and more importantly fun dance lessons in ballet and tap to children aged from walking to 5 years.

I introduce toddlers and children to the enchanting world of dance using many props including hats, scarfs, wands, flags, wings, musical instruments to and many more.

My aim is to introduce dance to children in a caring and safe environment with a happy and friendly atmosphere with a QUALIFIED teacher. My passion is to pass on my knowledge and expertise to the under 5’s whilst giving the children a class that they enjoy and remember for the rest of the week.

When the children reach school age and want to carry on with their dancing they will feed into the Andrea Knowles Academy of Dance (Parkstone and West Moors, Dorset).

U.K.A Teddy Bear Medal Tests will be offered annually and are lots of fun and fantastic for the children’s confidence, especially when they get awarded their certificate and award.

You don't have to go very far to learn to dance. We have classes in the following areas;

About Miss Kimberley:

I started ballet at the tender age of 2 years old and haven’t looked back since. Dancing has given me so many life opportunities that I will remember forever. To name a few I have danced with the English National Ballet, danced at Her Majesty’s Theatre many times and was a Senior Associate at The Urdang, London at the age of fourteen.

I started teaching at my mother’s dancing school at 16 years old and decided a year later it was time to get my full teaching qualifications. Once I had gained my ISTD DDE qualification in Tap and Modern/Jazz, I started my RAD CBTS qualification which I finished in November 2013. In summer 2016 I became a fully qualified acrobatic arts teacher.  I also have my student teacher exam in disco freestyle.

I am the co- principal of the Andrea Knowles Academy of Dancing and teach students from 18 months through to adults in ballet, tap, modern, disco and rock 'n' roll  up to an advanced level.

 I finished teaching at the New Forest School of Dance in December 2013 in which I taught for many years and will stay closely in contact.

I have an enhanced DBS Check and I am first aid trained.

I look forward to meeting all my little Tip Toes stars soon.
